The Mission
Why build conlangs for languages that don't exist yet.
The Mission
This project is attempting the huge, obviously impossible task of building believable conlangs for every major known Warcraft language.
What This Is Not
The goal is not random fantasy word lists. The goal is not glossary translation. The goal is not aesthetic flourishes for their own sake.
What This Is
The goal is to build languages from culture, pressure, history, body, grammar, register, dialect, writing, and social use — as living systems shaped by the people who speak them.
The Order of Work
Modern Common and modern Horde Orcish are contact-heavy faction languages. They cannot be built honestly until their substrates exist. So:
- Old Human Speech before Modern Common.
- Old Orcish before Modern Horde Orcish.
- Thalassian / Darnassian as sister languages with a shared ancient root.
- Titanic, Demonic, Shath'Yar as engineered or cosmic languages.
- Nerglish taken seriously, no matter how funny it sounds.
The Pace
Slow. Public. Honest about open questions. This is a years-long archive, not a launch.
